Traditional Japanese Fragrance Experience
Incense, the culture of Japanese fragrance.
Perfume in Europe and the U.S. is “to put fragrance on the body,” while incense in Japan is “to put fragrance on the clothes.
We will personally mix dozens of fragrance ingredients to create your own original scent for your scent bag.
We invite you to experience incense, a Japanese fragrance culture with a history of 1,500 years.

What is a scent bag?
Nioibukuro are bags made of cloth or paper containing powdered natural perfumes, which can be enjoyed at room temperature without the use of fire. They can be placed in a room to enjoy the fragrance, carried in a bag, or stored with clothing or business cards to impart an elegant image in a variety of places.

Traditional Japanese odor bags are mainly made of natural perfume powders such as sandalwood, clove, cinnamon, borneol , and star anise. Among these, sandalwood and clove are the most effective insect repellents, and so “insect repellent incense” made from them is also available commercially.
In this workshop, dozens of such fragrances will be used to create your own unique fragrance. Try these ancient Japanese scents, which have been used for more than 1,000 years, to commemorate your visit to Japan.
